as I enter the valley

“As I stand at the opening of a valley, I gaze at all that awaits me. I watch as the morning Sun peaks over the top of the rolling hills in the distance. The silence of the morning, sooths my mind as I softly take a deep breath in. I let go of all the doubts, fears and questions I have, as I boldly take a step into the dimly lit forest. Although a thick forest encloses around me, the air is soft, and presence is calm. I can hear the stream up ahead as I continue making my way foreward. Although I cannot see the end, I know in good time, it will come.174725660514533110_0YTHOWg7_c For through every valley, comes a clearing, and while in the valley I might as well enjoy the beauty it brings, even if it seems slim. However, even as the forest thickens, and the light fades, there sparks a light of hope in my soul. For I know why I have come here and how to get out; to keep pressing on. My mind continues to remain fixed on that which I know awaits, and my heart finds contentment in this short journey to get there. For I know as I reach the end of the valley and ascend to the top of the hill, radiant beauty awaits. I am reminded of the rising Sun coming forth from behind it, and for me, that was all I needed. To be reminded that past this moment; far more and far better things awaits.”

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” 2 Corinthians 4:17
