As the Water Flows

Closing my eyes I breath in the fresh crisp air. It sinks deep within my lungs as I slowly exhale. I imagin the beautiful landscape of rivers and mountains before me-with children singing and dancing. A smile creases my face as the warmth of the Sun dawns on me. Hesitantly I open my eyes to avoid being blinded by the light. Before me lays a dry and barrn land. I place my hand above my brow to shade the rays of Sun. I stand as I gaze out-wondring about the dream I had for this land. Softly His voice floods in, “My Child, as you see, so shall it be. For what is barren now will soon bear life. Cry for the rain, call for me and I will flood in, seek me and I will consum this dry barren land. Soon it will be no more, for my rivers of flowing watr will sweep through. Stand and do not be shaken. Keep close what I have shown you and out of your heart will flow rivers of living water-bringing forth life to the world. I am seeking those who will stand in the gap and call upon my name and seek my face. Ons who will dwell in my presence and live out of my heart. For in doing so, this world will no longer be dead but alive with true life. Just as Ezekiel stood and prophesyed life, so stand and proclaim freedom to the captives, healing and restoration for the broken hearted and life for the prisioners. For no longer will darkness cover this land-but my light will breakthrough as you so seek it to do so.” I cover my eyes as the Suns rays blind m and I fall to my knees. Placing my forehead against the dry dirt, tears begin to stream down my face as I call upon the name of the Lord. I feel a gentle wind as waves of water rush past me and catch me up into a blanket of freshness-washing over the land which I once stood and covering it with a blanket of His grace. For the time has come for us to not see the world as it is but seek the Fathers heart for our neighbourhoods, wordplaces, communities, cities and nations and cry our for His desires to come to pass-to stand in the fap and cry out His hearts cry.

The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
Psalm 14:2

We are to arise and allow His light to shine first through us and then into the world. We are to pray prayers from heaven to earth, for we are seated now in the heavenly realms with Christ Jesus.1229a8196d8f60f3de237bb771e6754f

For I believe this is a time the Lord is calling His Children to arise and seek His heart intimatly. This is a time where we must not longer live content in the world but to live set apart and holy for Him. We are to live being sanctified and to live for the world; no longer of the world.

How does this happen? I believe we must begin to seek the face of the Lord. To move past our mindsets and habits of everyday life and press into living in His heart. We must be okay with discipline and allowing the Holy Spirit to renew our minds and transform us.

I feel that we have become expectors rather than seekers. We expect the Lord to crash in on our lives and transform us with no effort on our part. I believe that we are to seek Him, to allow Him room in our lives by removing all that is keeping us from Him. For when we take the time, and move past what we think and into what God has asked of us and make room for Him in our lives, He meets us there in beautiful, unimaginable ways. For the reason why most of us miss experiencing the power of God in our lives is we are not willing to die to ourself and pick up our cross. We are not willing to persever and risk all we have for all He is offering us and died and rose again for us to recieve.

Just as in the beginning of this blog, we must stand in the gap. We must make a choice to lay asides the desires of our flesh and move into being led by the Spirit. To pursue the Lord and not stopping until we enter into His presence. We are to read His word and stand on His truth even when it is hard and we do not feel Him. For w live by faith not by sight.

May we be men and women who pursue His heart and live a life of worship, prayer and for Him. Not being tired of good works but perserving so that His will can be done here on earth. May we be empty vessels for Him to use, willing to lay it all down and do what He is waiting for His children to be ready for.

He has called you. You are worthy for His life to flow through. May His living water flow through you and into this world that is desperate for His life and His love. May you step away from fear and into the realm of His unfailing love and abounding grace. The river is waiting, are you willing to let it flood through you? not only for you to experience but for the world to taste and see that He is good.

“And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.” Revelations 22:6

“And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:11

For some realms will not be simply brought to us but they must be pursued by those who hunger and thirst for the Lord to breakthrough into this world. May heaven invade earth through the vessels of His beloveds. For the Gospel isn’t simply a message about what we will one day attain but what we already have access to through the blood and life of Jesus Christ. May we allow our lives to be moulded and shaped by the Lord and create a culture around us honoring and wholly for the Lord so that it will sustain a mighty move of God. For just as the water of His Kingdom will flood through this earth, may our vessels be somwhat like dams. For w are placed here to secure the flow of the Holy Spirit and pour out His love continually here as it overflows through us. For if we are seeking Him to be experienced by others publically, first we must be seeking Him intimitly in secret. For He is a relational God, seeking men and woman who love Him and long to know Him.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29
