Starts with a Seed

It all starts with a seed.
The greatest oak tree takes about 100 years to reach it’s strongest point. Out of 12 months of the year, it grows for 2. The other 10 are spent solidifying the new growth that has occured.

A squash takes 6 months, and then it is picked and eaten and nothing else remains.

Time is not there to be rushed. What do you want to invest your time in? Your growth into? What kind of person do you want to become?
For the things that matter, it takes time to build and grow. Change does not happen over night. Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, although the change is not witnessed or measured during the process, it is still taking place and once it has taken the time it is needed, it produces something beautiful. Yet the process cannot be rushed or sped up, for it would not finish it’s full transformation if we tried to interfere with it’s cycle. The caterpillar rests as nature takes its course.

I pray we are able to learn how to rest as the caterpillar does, in the Lord, not trying to interfer with His transformation process, but allowing Him who started the good work in us, to bring it to completetion. For I trust the Lord, more than myself. I can only mess up my life by choosing anything other than Him, but when I rely on Him, only good can come. May we be so yeilded to the Holy Spirit that it is only His will being done through us, not our own. May we learn the beauty of trusting in He who loves us, rather than ourselves. For the caterpillar could not become a butterfly if he resisted the transformation process, or if he tried to become one by himself. He had to yeild to what he was created for, allowing the time to be taken and rest to be had, in order to become perfected and who he is meant to be.

For the more time we spend in the presence of the Lord, the more we have to offer those around us, the more we are secure in who we are, because we know Him who resides in us. For if we are children of God, when we know who He is, we will know who we are. But we can only love the Lord when we know Him and that is through intimate times spent with Him.

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Galatians 3:26-27

The more time we spend with the Lord, we are transformed and our minds renewed into the mind of Christ. For when we yeild to the Holy Spirit, He works through us, what we could never do ourselves.

It all starts with a seed being planted,
It all starts with yeilding,
It all starts with saying yes to change and allowing the process to be done.

He is great and mighty, He is holy and worthy of it all.
I thank the Lord that although we are so fragile, He is our rock and our King. I thank Our Father that He has greater plans than we could ever imagine.
I thank The Holy Spirit that He transforms us as we yeild to Him.

Jesus is our perfect example of living a life in rythm with God the Father through the Holy Spirit. He walked humbly and rested. Spending time with those He loved and His Father. He did not miss those He walked past nor did He do anything for selfish-gain. He yeilded to the Holy Spirit, so that the love of the Father could be shown in it’s greatst and purest form. He allowed time to be spent preparing Him for the will of the Father. For our greatest harm would be jumping into something we are not yet prepared to do.

Holy Spirit, may you move through us, so that we may live yeilded to you. Allowing you to take the time needed to prepare us in the Fathers glory. Transforming us from our mere earhtly bodies into radiant lights of His love.

Just as the potter is with the clay, may you form and shape us as you will.
Help me trust in you. I believe, help my unbelief. For you are good and mighty and your ways are above mine. May I be a woman/man after your own heart, may I be a child of yes and never no to you oh God. Have your way, I am yours.

Planted in the house of the LORD, They will flourish in the courts of our God.” Psalm 93:13

Be so blessed. For you are loved. May His peace rest upon you and remind you that although change takes time, by abdiding in the Lord, you will bear much fruit through a life yeilded to Him.

John 15.
