For twenty-one years of my life I have been encouraged by the hearts of the women who have come into my life.
Whether for a season, a moment or a life time, they have had a significant role.
They have helped me walk through the hard days and rejoice with me in the joyful ones.
They have shown me true beauty and dignity.
They have shown me tenderness and love.
They have shown me how to hold myself as a woman, with value and worth.
Most of all, they have shown me beauty in all of it’s form.
They have shown me how beautiful motherhood is, even through challenges.
They have continued to walk along side of me, encouraging me, supporting me and reminding me of the value I have in Jesus.
Even at my lowest moments, they walked beside me and continued to see the gold I held even through all the dirt.
I am thankful for each one of you but even more than that, I am thankful that others have you in their lives as well.
I am thankful for all that you do, even what seems to go unseen. The countless hours doing dishes, folding laundry and cleaning up. The sleepless nights and long days. Chasing after kids and bandaging wounds. All that you do is appreciated.
I am encouraged that there are women out there who continue to shine the heart of the Father into lives.
I am overjoyed to see woman who love selflessly and give even when it’s hard.
I am strengthened when I see women doing what others said was impossible.
I am in awe when I see women with children, nurturing, cuddling and mothering.
As I get older I am able to see how much each woman I have crossed paths with has sacrificed for the love of another.
For the past twenty-one years of my life, I have met incredible woman.
Each one with a different story and each one radiating such love.
Most of all, I am thankful for my Mom.
A woman who goes above and beyond.
A woman who loves me even when I don’t deserve it.
A woman who fought for me and continues to do so.
A woman who listens and is patient.
A woman with a heart of passion, who shows me how to get the most out of each moment of my life.
A woman who is beautiful, inside and out.
A woman who teaches me simplicity (most importantly how to enjoy a cup of coffee.)
A woman who has shown me how beautiful marriage is, and how to be a wife.
A woman who spent countless hours at my riding lessons and horse shows, showing me how much she supported me in all I did.
A woman who encourages me to chase after my dreams.
A woman who is no longer just a mom but a close friend.
But most of all, Mom, you are a woman who shows me how to stand in faith even when it is hard. You encourage me to be clothed in strength and dignity and be a woman who continues to seek God for what seems impossible. You are half of my heart. And you are someone who has played a role in who I am today and who I am striving to be in the days to come.
You raised up three children who are loved and who are willing to do what seems impossible because you have shown us that through God it can be possible.
For the past twenty-one years of my life, I have seen your tenderness, your love for me and the timeless words of wisdom you have spoken over me. Our childhood was filled with countless “I love you’s”, hours spent outside building teepees and enjoying life. I truly cannot ask for a better woman to have as my Mom.
You have been a mom who has shown me how to be a woman of the Lord (Proverbs 31:10-31), thank you for that.
There have also been countless woman in my life that have loved me unconditionally and continue to do so, and I don’t deserve it. However I am so thankful that you have.
I am thankful that you saw me as more than another face and have continued to pour into my life and love me.
Thank you to all the moms who have shown me how beautiful motherhood is.
You have each encouraged me as a woman and have become great friends.
I couldn’t of asked for better moms in my life to continue to walk with me and enjoy even the simplest of days.
Thank you for loving me and thank you for being a Mom.
Although it isn’t always easy, I hope you can see how worth it, it is.
I have so much love and respect for each one of you, thanks for being you.
